Fanny Sabre Thursday Feb 18 for Little Saturday

Little Saturday continues to continue! Every Thursday at the boutique.

Since her first vintage in 2005, young vigneronne Fanny Sabre has brought new energy to the vines of Burgundy and the tables of Paris. After deciding that taking over the family domaine in Beaune was not part of her future, Ms. Sabre studied law. Now she's making wine at the family domaine, and we'll let you ask her to fill in the rest of the story on Thursday. Rumour has it that she'll bring along Bourgogne Passetoutgrain, Bourgogne Rouge, Savigny-les-Beaunes Blanc, and Meursault Charmes 1er Cru. As always, wines are 10% off day of the tasting.

Note that this week's tasting will be from 18h00 - 20h00.

Wine Terroirs has an excellent bio of the domaine: http://www.wineterroirs.com/2010/01/fanny_sabre.html

At some point, someone will point out that Little Saturday is a Swedish concept for students who can't wait until Friday. Yes, we know that technically Little Saturday is Wednesday, but we're giving it a French twist. Our Swedish chef Ola is not happy about it.

Little Saturday Continues

Pierre Jéquier from Mas Foulaquier in Pic Saint Loup is in Paris this week, and we're excited that he'll be joining us Thursday night at the boutique with his excellent red wines. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join us for a nice evening experience. Invite your friends but don't tell your mama.

Cheap and Yummy

No.  It's not a 5 dollar thai massage.  It's wine- and we've finally found bottles that we think are good and cheap.  First bottles at 5,50.

That's my lunch today- and an excuse to taste some of Josh's new finds.

I think I like the big bottle.  That's a liter bottle at 8,50.
Chateau Coupe Roses 2007 La Bastide in the maxi format.

We'll be tasting it tonight along with other Syrahs.
5 euro bucks gets you tastes of everything and enough to eat so you don't pass out.

17h to 21h
Every thursday night at Spring boutique.
Cheap and yummy.

See you there.
